Updated 27.03.2020

If you are a key worker and your shift patterns change for critical response and you will now have to ask for child supervision during the Easter holidays after all,  please email info@ndonline.org with the details of which day(s) you will require provision.

The provision will be based at St. Boniface’s Catholic College (Address: 21 Boniface Lane, Plymouth, PL5 3AG) but will be staffed jointly by St Boniface’s and Notre Dame staff.

Updated 26.03.2020

Following our request yesterday for parents/carers to contact us by 10.00am today if they required staffing across the Easter Holidays to provide supervision for their child, we can confirm that we have not received any requests for this.

Therefore, the school will be fully closed to all students and staff from Monday 30th March – Monday 13th April 2020. We will re-open for supervision of the children of key workers only from Tuesday 14th April 2020.

Thank you. We are so grateful that you have been able to organise provision for your child at home. This means that our whole community can stay safe at home and protect the NHS.

Updated 25.03.2020

A letter from Mrs White is linked below and asks parents/carers to contact us via email info@ndonline.org by 10am tomorrow, Thursday 26th March 2020 if they will require supervision for their child across the Easter Holidays.

“We hope that for the next 2 weeks which would have been the Easter holidays, school can be completely closed so that everyone can stay at home safely.
If you believe that you will have to send your daughter in on any week day during those two weeks because you are critical workers and you cannot leave her at home alone, please email info@ndonline.org urgently by 10.00am on Thursday 26th March 2020 to inform us which day(s) you need someone to come to school to provide educare. Please use the government information published on their website (links within letter) to establish your entitlement and need for this provision. If there is another non-key worker parent/carer at home or working, he/she should be looking after your child.”

Updated 13.03.2020

Our most recent letter to parents regarding coronavirus was sent on 13.03.2020.  The letter includes latest government advice and information on the plans we have in place to deliver learning should the government impose school closures.  A link to this letter is below:

We have recently sent out two letters to parents to inform them of government, Department for Education (DfE) and Public Health England advice and guidance regarding COVID-19.

These have been uploaded to the website under the ‘Information’ followed by ‘Letters’ tabs.  For ease of reference, please follow the links below to read them:

06.03.2020: https://ndonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Letter-to-Parents_Covid-19_March-2020.pdf

27.02.2020: https://ndonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Letter-to-Parents_Covid-19.pdf

Recent advice encourages frequent hand washing with hot soap and water or hand sanitiser and to ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ by sneezing/coughing into a tissue or the crook of your elbow/sleeve where a tissue is not available, then washing your hands.
