Learning Support Assistant

Required from September 2021

Temporary, 27.08 hours per week, 5 days per week

39 weeks per annum (term time, plus one week)

Grade B (Scale point 9 £17,560 pro-rata’d for part-time hours)

£9.10 per hour plus membership of LGPS

We invite applications for Learning Support Assistants to join our SEND departments in our secondary schools, Notre Dame Plymouth and St Boniface’s College from September 2021. 

The post will involve working under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for students.  Knowledge, or experience, of working with children with special needs would be advantageous.   

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin their career as an LSA; for suitable candidates, a Teaching Assistant qualification can be offered via distance learning under the apprenticeship framework.
